Oatsoaft offers an open source program a11y that is to say a screen reader that enables blind people to use an operating system and its software. Coupled to a free-speech or Braille, it allows to visually impaired people a vocal or tactil return of screen informations. The purpose of this open source screen reader, is to compete with screen readers that are commercially available and are very expensive such as Jaws or Window-eyes, such as people with visual disabilities can enjoy their computer tool without paying more than the "normal" people.
